Your architect or designer will be an independent so he or she will focus on the design. This eliminates the need for you to spend hours and hours visiting showrooms where the focus is to sell you either appliances, fixtures or their cabinet line.

Whether adding an island or updating the whole kitchen, your architect/designer will guide you every step of the way. Kitchen remodeling is not a small decision, so your architect/designer will be more than happy to answer any and all of your questions to help you feel comfortable with the process.

Your architect will visit your home to discuss your requirements and take full measurements. He or she will then produce a full design for you to be used for pricing and construction. You will get a list of recommend suppliers and contractors.

Fees are hourly and per project. Clients usually prefer a combination of both; a budget is set and the designer will work until the maximum is reached. If the project exceeds the project fee, due to unforeseen circumstances or project changes, the fee can be continued at an hourly rate or renegotiated.
